In November 2024, HiboTalk Podcast launched not just as a podcast, but as a movement. It's a place where stories of resilience, ambition, and transformation are shared with the world. Our founder wanted to create a platform where often unheard voices could rise above barriers, where experiences could inspire change, and where one story could impact thousands.

I'm Hibo Gabané, the founder of HiboTalk Podcast, HiboTalk Mentoring, and soon, HiboTalk Academy. Born in Madagascar, with Franco-Djiboutian nationality, I grew up witnessing the power of community and the strength that comes from shared experiences. My journey led me to a career in Human Resources across the Middle East and Africa, where I saw firsthand how mentorship and guidance can transform lives.

The Genesis

Hibo Gabané was born from a deep reflection and a legacy of compassion. As I approached my 50th birthday, I found myself asking what kind of legacy I wanted to leave behind. My father, known as Gabané across Djibouti, was respected for his generosity, humanitarian spirit, and unwavering support for those in need. He taught me that true strength is not measured by what we achieve alone, but by how we lift others up. This belief became the foundation of Hibo Gabané—a platform built to inspire, mentor, and transform lives.

A Journey Rooted in Impact

My journey led me from Madagascar, where I was born, to the Middle East and Africa, where I built my career in Human Resources. I witnessed firsthand how mentorship and genuine support could change the course of someone’s life. Young talents blossomed when given the right guidance, doors opened where none existed before, and communities grew stronger through connection and trust. I knew I wanted to build something that would carry forward my father’s spirit of helping others—something that would amplify voices, create opportunities, and break down barriers.

From Podcast to Mentorship

That is how HiboTalk Podcast was born in November 2024—not just as a podcast, but as a movement. A place where voices, often unheard, could rise above limitations, where stories of resilience, ambition, and transformation could inspire real change. But I didn’t want it to stop there. In early 2025, I launched HiboTalk Mentoring, a platform and app dedicated to bridging the gap between ambition and opportunity. My vision was clear: to create a space where young talents, women, and underrepresented voices could access mentorship that was once out of reach—where experience meets aspiration, and dreams are nurtured into reality.

A Continuing Legacy

For me, Hibo Gabané is more than just a brand—it’s a legacy. It’s the continuation of my father’s humanitarian spirit, carried forward through storytelling, mentorship, and community impact. Through HiboTalk Podcast and HiboTalk Mentoring, my mission is clear: to inspire, empower, and transform lives—one story at a time. At Hibo Gabané, we don’t just create opportunities—we build communities, we amplify dreams, and we honor the legacy of giving back.

A Family Endeavor

In the early days of HiboTalk Podcast, it was a family affair. My twin sister, my niece, and two talented young boys from Dubai joined me in building the first episodes. We recorded, edited, and promoted each story with passion, learning and growing together. It was grassroots, authentic, and driven by love for storytelling and community.

This understanding became the foundation of the HiboTalk Mentoring App, launched in 2025. It's an innovative platform that bridges the gap between aspiring talents and experienced professionals, providing real-world insights, confidence, and the push to dream bigger. It's not just about career paths; it's about building courage, sparking ambition, and opening doors that once seemed locked.
